According to statistics, most citizens decided to stay at home during the holidays (almost 60%). Only 13% dared to go to Ukrainian seaside resorts, about the same number decided to rest in the country.
Compared to 2019, the difference in the way Ukrainians relax is especially noticeable, because now domestic resorts are in the greatest demand.
If we divide citizens by age, we can see that young people mostly went to resorts or just travel to Ukraine, while older people mostly decided to stay at home.
Also, geographically, residents of southern Ukraine were much more willing to spend holidays at sea compared to the central and western part of the country.
According to the survey, the coronavirus pandemic did not significantly affect most Ukrainians’ vacation plans (almost 60%). Only a third noted that quarantines and other measures to combat the epidemic forced them to reconsider their recreation plans for 2021.
