Ukraine ranked 45th out of 45 European countries in the index of economic freedom

These data were presented by the Index of Economic freedom in 2020. Ukraine has 54.9 points in this system, which automatically puts it 134th among the countries of the world, and 45th among European countries.

At the same time, analysts note that according to the statistics of the calculated index, Ukraine is gradually recovering from the significant decline that began in 2013.

Analysts also note that this index has been positively affected by changes in legislation, lifting the immunity of MPs and opening the land market (according to the World Bank, lifting the moratorium on land sales will increase GDP in Ukraine by about 1.5%).

The leader in the index of economic freedom in 2020 is Singapore, he received according to the calculation – 89.4 points.
