Last month, UAH 1 billion more was allocated from the state budget for housing subsidies than in December 2020.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmygal, in December 2020 the total amount of payments for subsidies for housing and communal services was 6.6 billion hryvnias, and in January this amount amounted to 7.5 billion hryvnias. Thus, we see that citizens receive even more compensation for the payment of LCD services.
At the same time, Serhiy Marchenko, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, made a statement that the funds allocated for subsidies will be enough until the end of the heating season.
At the same time, the state budget for 2021 provided UAH 36.6 billion for the payment of subsidies for housing and communal services, but the Ministry of Social Policy claims that this amount is not enough for Ukrainian citizens who really need help.
We will remind that citizens who aren’t registered in the apartment, but live there under the lease agreement can receive a subsidy.
