The President of Ukraine announced the creation of an economic passport of a citizen of Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelenskyi, summing up the regular meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, announced the creation of an economic passport for the citizens of our country. The draft Law “On the Economic Passport of Ukrainians” provides for the creation of the “Future Fund” by the state.

The fund will accumulate and store contributions. The second function will be the distribution of finances and payments to persons who are guaranteed this right.

For Ukrainians, “economic passports” will provide an opportunity to receive funds from the use and extraction of the country’s natural resources.

How does it work? A child born in Ukraine before reaching the age of majority will accumulate money in his personal deposit account in a bank. When she turns 18, she will be able to use these funds to obtain higher education in Ukraine.

These funds will be available to children born after January 1, 2021, who will live in Ukraine for eighteen years. That is, the first payments should be received in 2039.
